Dr.Dropin offers digital and in-person GP and outpatient specialist services like dermatology. You can book an appointment on our website to see one of our experienced GPs and dermatologists either through a video consultation or an appointment in our clinic. Our doctors provide personalised medical care, from prevention to procedures, and can provide prescriptions and referrals when needed.

How does Dr.Dropin work? +

Dr.Dropin is an affordable, independent healthcare provider offering GP and outpatient specialist services with short waiting times. Our doctors can assist if you need medical attention and are not in acute danger.

You can book an appointment online to see one of our experienced doctors either through a video consultation or an appointment in our clinic. We provide personalised care, including consultations, diagnostics, prescriptions, and referrals when needed.

When can Dr.Dropin be used? +

Dr.Dropin is not for medical emergencies. If you require immediate medical attention, please contact your local emergency services by dialling 999 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Dr.Dropin's services are designed for non-emergency medical needs and general healthcare consultations.

Is it suitable to seek care through Dr.Dropin for all medical problems? +

Dr.Dropin is well-equipped to handle a wide range of non-emergency medical concerns and conditions. However, for certain complex or specialised issues, it may be more appropriate to seek care from a specialist or a dedicated healthcare facility. Our GPs can assess your situation and provide guidance on the most suitable course of action.

Are you a walk-in clinic? +

No, you need to book an appointment before meeting with one of our doctors. We offer same-day appointments with experienced doctors who can help you with the same things as your NHS GP. You can book your appointment online before you come to the clinic.

What are the opening hours of Dr.Dropin? +

Our clinic has extended opening hours to accommodate various schedules, bookable the same day or up to a month in advance.

Who are the doctors that work at Dr.Dropin? +

At Dr.Dropin, we have a dedicated team of qualified and experienced General Practitioners and dermatologists. Our doctors are all GMC-registered and on the GP or Specialist Register. Our dermatologists are all Consultants with extensive experience in both the public and private sector. Our doctors are highly skilled in providing primary and outpatient healthcare services, and are committed to delivering personalised care and attention to every patient.

Which NHS GP practices does Dr.Dropin work with? +

Dr.Dropin operates independently as a private healthcare provider and does not work directly with NHS GP practices.

What provision do you have for disabled patients? +

At Dr.Dropin, we prioritise accessibility for all our patients. Our facilities are designed to accommodate patients using wheelchairs and our staff is trained to provide support and assistance as needed. If you require assistance, please let us know at the time of booking or by emailing hello@drdropin.uk.

Do you offer corporate healthcare? +

Our Services

What services does Dr.Dropin offer? +

At present, Dr.Dropin offers GP and outpatient dermatology services, both in-person at our Fulham clinic and online. We also offer a holistic Health Assessment.

Our GPs have the capability to diagnose and treat a variety of medically appropriate conditions within the scope of primary care. If you require a specific procedure (e.g. IUD insertion or minor surgery), please let us know in advance by contacting hello@drdropin.uk before your appointment.

Our dermatologists provide a wide range of services including acne treatment, mole checks, skin lesion removal, and more.

How long is a doctor's appointment? +

The duration of a standard GP appointment at Dr.Dropin is typically 15 minutes. We recommend booking a 30-minute appointment if you have multiple or complex issues.

The duration of a Dermatology appointment is typically 20 minutes, though surgical appointments are often longer.

Do you offer online doctor appointments? +

Yes, we offer online doctor appointments, allowing patients to consult with healthcare providers remotely. You may book your video consultation through our website.

Please note that bookings for Digital Dermatology Services are made through the Skindoc website.

Can I obtain medical advice through Dr.Dropin? +

Yes, our experienced GPs are available to provide professional guidance and support regarding your medical concerns. Please note that the advice provided online or during consultations is based on the information you provide and may not replace an in-person examination.

Can I use Dr.Dropin if I am an overseas visitor? +

Yes, certainly! You will be asked to register and verify your ID using your passport or National ID.

Can I see a Dr.Dropin doctor when I am abroad? +

Unfortunately, Dr.Dropin's services are currently limited to the UK. If you are abroad and require medical assistance, we recommend seeking care from a local healthcare provider in that country.


Tests, Referrals & Prescriptions

Can Dr.Dropin issue prescriptions? +

Yes, our GPs can issue private prescriptions when clinically appropriate during your consultation. Please note these are private prescriptions and may not be dispensed at the same cost as NHS prescriptions.

Can Dr.Dropin provide referrals? +

Yes, our GPs can provide referrals to specialists or further services when needed. Please be aware that these will be private referrals, not NHS referrals.

Health Assessment

What is the Health Assessment? +

Dr.Dropin offers a holistic Health Assessment priced at £199, inclusive of blood tests. It is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of your current health status and help identify any areas that may need attention.


Your Medical Records & the Patient Portal

Can Dr.Dropin see my medical history? +

Dr.Dropin is not able to access your medical history from your NHS GP or hospitals.

If you are a new patient, after you have registered and booked an appointment, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire to help us gather the information necessary to provide safe and high-quality care. This information will be securely stored in our Electronic Health Record System, which you can access through your Patient Portal.

All subsequent consultations with Dr.Dropin will also be recorded and stored so we can provide comprehensive, personalised healthcare services.

Is Dr.Dropin regulated? +

Dr.Dropin operates as a regulated independent healthcare provider. All our doctors are GMC-registered and on the GP or Specialist Register, ensuring you receive safe, high-quality care in line with UK healthcare standards.
